I must admit, it isn’t as intuitive as using DJI Terra to setup Rotary spraying, but once you get the fundementals down, it’s pretty easy!!
The main advantage of doing the setup via remote, is it all done out in the field.
Once the T40 and the remote have worked thier magic with creating a map, Rotary mode can be setup.
So many Targets can be treated in an area of up to 5.3 hectares. It’s great for spot spraying Trees and individual Bushes.
Placed at a height of 2.5 metres above a bush, the T40 has a spray width of 7.5 metres. Once a rotational element is introduced the treatment area is 38 metres squared.
The 38 metre square area does’nt require alot of product either!!
For instance if treating Blackberry with Grazon Extra, it requires 200 litres per hectare. which translates to 20ml per square metre.
So for 38 metres, requires 760ml of product per bush.
The only caviot is the bush or tree cannot be bigger than 7.5 metres in diametre at those settings.
The T40’s Spray width can be adjusted by increasing height, but for optimal penetration and spray drift mitigation 2.5 metres above the canopy is ideal.
