Variable Rate Application
VARIABLE RATE APPLICATION BY DRONE!
From map to apply, Drones are fantastic machines for Variable Rate Applications (VRA) !
By using the DJI AGRAS platform I am able to easily analyse Crop health and program my T40 spray drone to apply product where its needed!
VRA Requires Mapping first!
The first step is Mapping the treatment area to collect required data for analysis.
The two standard plant indexes are NDVI or NDRE, and they can be customised to suit what ever is being targeted.
Once the data is processed, an expert (Agronomist) is called in to determine what issues are present in the crop.
The Prescription Map
Whether its Fertilizer, Fungicide, or reseeding a Prescription map will tell my T40 exactly how much? and where to apply it?
They are easily created and customised to what ever quantities of liquid or broadcasting medium.
VRA can be done anytime!
Because Prescription maps are fully customisable they can be taylored for Liquid or solid treatments
This makes it possible for VRA applications to be done anytime of year, regardless of growth stage.
