The automated flight modes available on our DJI T40 application drone, are only suited for small to medium size projects. Larger sites require more substancial planning, which can only come from the intergration of a mapping drone.
Fortunately DJI has a very smooth workflow, which makes flight planning large complex sites so much easier!
With my Mavic 3 Multispectral drone, I first map the site to capture high resolution images. These images give the mapping software information such as terrain, obstacles, Coordinates and the thing being treated.
I then upload the images onto DJI’s mapping software called “Terra”, which stitches it all together into a photorealistic map.
By using Terra’s powerful tools I locate the treatment areas, obstacles and am able to create 3 dimentional flight paths for my DJI T40 application drone to follow.
Once all the flight planning is done, all I need to do is upload the flight paths onto the T40 and apply the product!
Pretty amazing stuff, considering I originally had to walk the entire site previous to owning a mapping drone.
